MOCA Round Up Judging Information
MOCA is happy to be hosting our Annual
Mustang and Ford Car show! We appreciate you
taking part in the gathering and want you to
have a great time. This year our show will again
be a judged event (vice a simple popular vote).
The following information may answer some
questions you might have concerning the judging
/ award process.
- Enjoy yourself! If you
have any questions, please find an
individual in a yellow show shirt (show
workers) so we may assist you. Our shows are
family events so please be considerate of
those around you.
- Judging categories
include the following items:
- Paint
- Body Work
- Engine Compartment
-
Tires/Wheels/Hubcaps
- Interior
- Overall judge's
opinion
- Items considered in
the judging categories are largely based on
condition, cleanliness and detail.
- At least 2 judges will
evaluate each vehicle in a single class.
Larger classes may have additional judges
but each will still evaluate every car in
the respective class.
- This is not
a concours show; vehicles will not be
judged for “correctness.” Rules for stock
versus modified class placement as per the
Show Rules will be observed.
- Vehicles are judged
only against other cars in the same class
with the exception of the “Best of” awards.
- A single “Class
Winner” award will be awarded to each
individual class.
- “Class Awards” will be
determined by points and will be distributed
proportionally to the number of vehicles in
the class; larger classes will have a
greater number of “Class Awards.” Depending
on the overall number of vehicles, very
small classes might have only a “Class
Winner.”
- The “Best of Show”
award will be determined by the judges from
the group of “Class Winners”
- The remaining “Best
of” awards will be determined by the judges
and need not be “Class Winners”
- Judges are at large
volunteers.
- Judges will not
discuss vehicles to be judged with vehicle
owners
- The “Participant's
Choice Award” will be determined by popular
vote based of show participants.
